Openlot Systems develops, implements and operates end-to-end software solutions for lottery and online gaming operators. It offers solutions to customers through its high performance, scalable, robust, secure and compatible platform. Customer access channels include internet, mobile (SMS/WAP; Java/Web), online terminals, fixed line, IVR, and digital television. We offer our customers various set up and operational services that are regarded as key to bringing success to a gaming operation. Coming from a specialised lottery background, Openlot nowadays offers Poker and Sportsbetting, and a suit of Casino games and Bingo from April 2009 onwards, hence offering gaming operators a complete package of games.
Openlot is a privately held company, incorporated in 2000, has its offices in Rotterdam (The Netherlands ), Beijing ( Peoples Republic of China ), Willemstad (Dutch Antilles), and software development centres in Atlanta ( USA ) and Pune ( India ).
Openlot Systems started in 2000 as a mobile solutions company with a focus on mobile transactions in banking and gaming. It tendered, together with partners KPMG and Hewlett Packard, for the mobile lottery of the Dutch State Lottery (Nederlandse Staats- loterij). Openlot won the tender and started developing its gaming platform. The mobile (SMS) lottery was launched in 2003.
During its formative years, Openlot was also involved in the development of non-gaming B2B and B 2C mobile applications. However, from 2005 onwards, Openlot specialised in developing and operating software systems for the gaming industry and sold these side businesses.
Currently Openlot turned its attention to Africa and Asia . It was responsible for the mobile lottery implementation on behalf of Selcom Gaming in Tanzania in 2005, the first lottery of that kind in Africa . Uganda followed in 2006 and had it not been for the political turmoil in DRC, that country would have followed suit in 2007. In the beginning of 2009 we will see the roll out of mobile lottery in Cameroon , Nigeria and some other countries as well. Openlot's efforts in Asia have experienced a big push onto Java enabled phones. This project witnessed its launch in September 2008. Current and expected business in China , Russia , Africa and South America has lead to the opening of an Openlot office in China and a software development centre in India.
