Shanghai IKS Mechanical Blade Co., Ltd ("IKS Shanghai) is a Sino-German JV in Shanghai, and the foreign shareholder is IKS Klingelnberg with 80% share of IKS Shanghai. IKS Klingelnberg is a famous worldwide knife producer; and Chinese shareholder is Shanghai Mechanical blade Plant, who was the biggest knife producer with 60years history in China. Now the JV is established with advantages of both German and Chinese parties, is supplying more and more mechanical knives with high quality to domestic (now rank 1 in local market) and international markets. All the key equipment for machining and heat-treating in this JV are introduced from foreign countries, including the knife cutting edge grinder with 6 meters length from Germany, CNC milling and drilling machine, quench press to avoid deformation during heat-treatment from France. This JV invested RMB 10million in manufacturing PLC controlled hot-rolling production line to produce blank of inlay knife. Such new technology can greatly improve the knife quality, and has been used in producing guillotine knives of printing industry, as well as peeling and slicing knives of wood industry. This JV can generally produce 5 categories of knife: 1. knives in printing and paper industry, 2. knives in wood industry, 3. shearing blades in metal industry, 4. knives in light industry, 5. granulating knives in plastic industry.
